Only to hit a huge pothole and send me face first into the ground. The blood is already gushing. When I see the gash in a mirror I grab wet paper towels and duck tape for  holding my chin together. While skateboarding to the hospital emergency room, all I think about is will this heal in time for Burning Man.

Router died, 66 emails deep, and worst of all my Steadicam has not arrived for my shoot the next day.

Panic rushes into my veins. Unable to call the french hotel I left the shipment at, I rely on dawn, my very Blonde manager to fix the situation. Not great considering she set up the shipping… I find out the package is to easy to open for ups but they can’t put a lock on it because of customs.

I ask my good friend Yoshi if he wants the gig or could rent me a rig.

I feel panic as I look at my watch, it’s 9:30am. 15 min after my train stop to catch my international flight. Unable to communicate to passengers, I head to the train cafe for hopes of finding a English speaking train employee.

The server has no idea what i seem to be trying to say ( or I have no idea what she says) as I hand her my ticket and point at the final destination with time.

A man who understands a little says that he will give me a ride and that it will take 5 mins to get to the airport. Well that’s what I think he says anyways. That is, until he walks off without me and gets off at the current stop. The server says no to me getting off at this stop…I worry more until she tells me the next stop is mine. The only reason I feel a sigh of relief is because I see that our next stop is indeed the airport. I am so thankful I did not miss my international flight.

At the airport I meet Some Romanian girls. They end up being in the seats behind me and eventually in my row. We experience something completely new and have a very easy 7 hour flight. :-)

At my hostel they are very strict on non smoking… Unless it is a Joint. I laugh and can’t believe this is what reception tells me when I arrive. My room sleeps 18 but only 5 of us occupy it.

Things overheard in Amsterdamn, ” I was trying to be healthy when I was looking to buy cookies earlier” I want to eat more healthy! But man I really wish I got those cookies now”

The red light district is something to be investigated as to know better the nature of man.

I roll the longest I ever have on my way to the train back to Le Mans. Love my skateboard.

Amsterdam was a dream world.
